The Heart Institute of East Texas is a premier cardiology group committed to serving and enhancing the well-being of residents of the East Texas Region for over 40 years. The Heart Institute of East Texas team has 12 Cardiologists (9 Interventional Cardiologists, 2 General Cardiologists, 2 Electrophysiologists) and 3 Nurse Practitioners provide high-quality, cost-effective, proactive, diagnostic, and therapeutic heart & vascular service.

The cardiologists at The Heart Institute were instrumental in starting the CV Surgery Program at both CHI St. Luke’s Health Memorial and Woodland Heights Medical Center. Our 10 peripheral outreach clinics serves over 350,000 residents.

The Heart Institute of East Texas offers our own state-of-the-art, purpose-built facility. (Rhythm clinic, cardiac catheterization, laboratory, accredited nuclear, echo cardiac imaging, Heart Failure and Vein & Vascular Clinics) We are committed to always being at the leading edge of Heart and Vascular Care in Deep East Texas.  CHI St. Luke’s Health – Memorial in Collaboration with the Cardiologists at The Heart Institute of East Texas Received the Highest Recognition HeartCARE Center National Distinction of Excellence Designation in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and Pioneer Award in 2019 from ACC – one of the first 10 hospitals to receive such an award and highest accreditations in Heart Failure, Chest Pain, Cath Lab with PCI & Electrophysiology. The practice was awarded with TMF Physician Practice Quality Improvement Gold Award in 2019.
