Southeast Health, a 420 bed facility established in 1957, is one of the largest not-for- profit tertiary referral centers in Alabama. Owned and operated by the Houston County Healthcare Authority, it serves over 800,000 in a 75 mile radius around Dothan, Houston County and its surrounding tri-state (AL- FL- GA) area. 320 active medical staff spanning every specialty. 2,800 dedicated employees

• 20 ORs with state of the art technology including 2 hybrid vascular ORs & open heart surgery suites
• Extensive general, vascular and cardiovascular surgical services available
• 32 ICU beds with pulmonary/ critical care consultation available 24/7
• Comprehensive radiology services including 2 interventional labs (cardiology and vascular) and 2 short-bore MRIs, 3 CT scanners (including 64 row CT) and Pet Scanner.
• Radiologist in house 24/7 for advanced consultations
• Medical hospitalist program provides ED unassigned coverage, care for transfers & consults
• Level 2 Trauma Center with EM residency trained EM physicians and volumes approaching 68,000 annually
• 5 interventional catheterization (and EP laboratory) labs and non-invasive Heart and Vascular Center with 5 stress labs and 5 echo rooms
• Comprehensive cancer network with clinics in Dothan and Enterprise, AL and Marianna, FL
• Comprehensive Cancer Center- UAB Affiliate 50-bed inpatient psychiatric program with psychiatric hospitalist coverage
• 27/7 Neurosurgery services with 4 FT employed neurosurgeons
• Pain management center staffed by trained anesthesiologists

• Wound Care Center with traditional & advanced including hyperbaric oxygen therapy
• The first class of 163 students will graduate from the new Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine (ACOM) in May 2017. ACOM is Alabama’s first osteopathic medical school and the first in the U.S. to be developed by a regional medical center.
