Have you heard of Richmond University Medical Center?

The Richmond Health Network (RHN) and Richmond University Medical Center (RUMC) comprise a non-profit outpatient health network and community teaching hospital located on Staten Island, NY (Richmond County). About 20 years ago this was known as St. Vincent’s Hospital and has since restructured to RUMC, one of the few private and independent hospitals in New York City. RUMC is a 400+ bed healthcare facility and teaching institution serving borough residents as a leader in the areas of acute medical and surgical care, including emergency care, surgery, minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery, gastroenterology, cardiology, pediatrics, podiatry, endocrinology, urology, oncology, orthopedics, neonatal intensive care and maternal health. The medical center earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for quality and patient safety. RUMC is also a Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center and a designated Stroke Center. The hospital recently underwent a major renovation which included an expansion of a state-of-the-art Emergency Trauma Department and Operating Room suites.

RHN provides a full spectrum of ambulatory healthcare services, including preventative/primary care, chronic and acute care, specialty care, radiology, breast imaging, obstetrics & gynecology, and cancer care at our accredited Cancer Center. RHN is committed to expanding access to quality medical services to the Staten Island community with an emphasis on preventative services and specialty care. The RHN team of physicians specialize in primary care, family medicine, endocrinology, gastroenterology, pulmonology, ENT, cardiology, hematology/oncology, radiation oncology, urology, bariatrics, neurology, orthopedic, breast, and vascular surgery. RHN also includes three immediate care/primary care/walk in centers as well as hospital-based clinics for the under-served.
