Welcome to Lakewood Ranch Obstetrics and Gynecology. Our mission is to provide the highest standard of medical care for women of all ages and to treat our patients like family in a comfortable, warm environment. Our office is centered around the concept of providing compassionate care for women of all ages, and with our two locations in Lakewood Ranch and in Sarasota, we are perfectly positioned to serve the greater Sarasota and Bradenton area.

Lakewood Ranch Obstetrics and Gynecology is unique in that all of the providers are women. In fact our motto is, “Caring for Women, by Women.” We offer comprehensive obstetrical care with delivery at Sarasota Memorial Hospital which is the area’s premier hospital. We perform office gynecological services such as ultrasound, LEEP, cryotherapy, and procedures such as Novasure endometrial ablation and dilation and curettage and hysteroscopy. We offer nitrous oxide in the office so that most procedures are painless. We perform gynecological surgery at Sarasota Memorial Hospital and Lakewood Ranch Medical Center. Robots are available for GYN surgery.

Come join Dr. Swanson and Dr. Soendker in a small, private practice environment. Both of us value quality of life since we both have growing families. Call is approximately 1:6 with midwives taking all phone calls and doing most of the vaginal deliveries at the hospital. There is OB hospitalist backup on labor and delivery to assist in difficult deliveries and to help triage patients. Come practice with us in paradise!
