Academic Medicine

Our partnership with UHealth – University of Miami Health System makes us an academic medical center. This means many of our physicians are also academic researchers who are actively conducting studies on conditions and treatments, which helps ensure we can provide the very best care for your families.

Treating Mind, Body and Spirit

It takes more than medicine to make miracles. Children who require ongoing or complex care, whether in the hospital or on an outpatient basis, are treated by an integrated team that includes our certified child life specialists, music therapy team and a host of other caregivers, including their family.

Our Child Life Department includes specialists trained in child development, pediatric psychological and social support, and therapeutic play. They will craft and implement an individual plan for each child.

Special support and services for our pediatric patients may include
