Henry Ford Allegiance Health System

Henry Ford Allegiance is a 475-bed licensed facility. We have an Adult, Pediatric and OB Hospitalist service line. We are proudly entering our 10th decade of serving the people of south central Michigan with local, high-quality health care. We partnered with Henry Ford Health System (HFHS) on April 1, 2016 who is a five hospital system headquartered in Detroit, Michigan. HFHS is one of the nation’s leading comprehensive, integrated health systems, recognized for clinical excellence and innovation.

We are excited for this partnership to continue developing. The affiliation gives Henry Ford Allegiance Health greater access to new state-of-the-art technologies and data driven care models, and enable physicians and other clinicians from both systems to work together to develop innovative approaches to patient care. It will also help Henry Ford Allegiance Health expand its services strategically, and have better access to capital funding. By working together with HFHS, Henry Ford Allegiance Health can become more efficient, generating additional funds from Allegiance’s operations, which will stay in the Jackson community.

Henry Ford Allegiance is a 475-bed licensed facility and on site we have 276 Medical/Surgical beds; 26 Critical Care, 37 Obstetrics, 12 Peds, 20 Hospice, 40 Psych–Adult/Geri and 26 Substance Abuse beds, a 60-bed Emergency Department with 4-trauma bays. Our Psychiatry and Long-Term beds are separate from our total bed count. The behavioral health adult/geriatric inpatient beds and outpatient services are located on the same site as the hospital, in a detached building. We have an Adult, Pediatric and OB Hospitalist service line.

Our Emergency room treats over 90,000+ visits annually, with 18,000 admits from those visits and over 13,000 ambulance visits. We have a Medical ICU, Surgical ICU, CUB (Cardiac Universal Bed), Radiation Oncology, Hematology/Oncology, Full Service line of Ortho (total joint, hand/wrist, foot/ankle, sports, podiatry), Physiatry (PM&R), Neurology and Neurosurgery Service Lines, OT/PT, Certified Stroke Center, in January 2015 we brought on Interventional Radiology and this past summer we developed a full service line for inpatient Physiatry (PM&R).

We are not your average “community hospital.” We are the hidden gem of Jackson and the only hospital in Jackson County, with the next smaller hospital being 20 miles north (St. Joes/Chelsea). After we become a Trauma certified facility (tentative July 2016) we will be the only Level II trauma within a 40 mile radius between 94 and 127 HWY. On April 6, 2015 we went live we activating Trauma calls, with 24/7 coverage provided in-house coverage with a physician and advanced practice professional. We had our first preliminary site visit on April 18 & 19. We also recruited two BC Dermatologist to join our team of employed providers.
