Hawaii Family Dental was founded by HMSA, the state’s largest health insurance company in 1986. Local entrepreneur and endodontist Dr. Gary Kondo purchased Hawaii Family Dental in 1999 and at the same time, Dr Kondo founded Hawaii’s largest discount dental program.

Today, we serve over 60,000 patients and are the most-referred dental group in Hawaii. We’ve expanded our discount dental plan, offer the best financing in Hawaii, and continue to find innovative ways to make dental care accessible by all.
