Essentia Health is an integrated health system serving patients in Minnesota, North Dakota, Wisconsin and Idaho. Our mission is to provide high quality care while making patients feel known and understood.

Community
Essentia Health is formed by the coming together of 4 regional service areas that are known as the West Region, Central Region, East Region and Critical Access Hospital Group.
The West Region serves over a 100-mile radius from Fargo, ND and consists of 5 hospitals, 27 clinics and 6 care/living facilities. Well known for its booming economy and low unemployment, the area offers friendly people and quality living. The mix of both large and small communities represents the best of rural America and offers plenty for any lifestyle. Great school systems, affordable housing and all around quality of life make these towns ideal places to call “home.”
The Central Region, nestled around Brainerd right in the heart of Minnesota, consists of 1 hospital and 11 clinics. A destination for many who enjoy the laid back lake lifestyle, this area provides numerous opportunities within the Great Outdoors. Even with easy access to the twin cities, the communities in this area allow you to “getaway from it all” to make the ideal home for you and your family.
The East Region stretches up towards Canada and north-central MN to just north of the metro area of Minneapolis-St. Paul and into the northwestern edge of Wisconsin. With the largest campus based in Duluth, MN, the East Region consists of 8 hospitals, 20 clinics, and 1 care facility. Offering four seasons of recreation, nationally ranked schools, breathtaking lakeside scenery and a number of metro-like amenities, this area is a great place to raise a family while enjoying sailing, skiing, fishing, kayaking and miles of hiking, biking and ski trails right out your back door.
Our Critical Access Hospital Group is a grouping of hospital, clinic and long-term care entities in which Essentia Health provides administrative governance over but does not employ its professional staff.
