Dr. Patrick A. O'Connor, Ltd

Dr. Patrick A. O’Connor, a successful oral surgeon in Nevada, is a forerunner in the dental industry. As a specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery, he continually seeks out and implements new technological developments that bring top-notch dental care to Nevadans.

Originally from Salina, Kansas, Dr. O’Connor attended Kansas State University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He graduated with honors from University of Oklahoma (UO) College of Dentistry. On his first day at OU, Dr. O’Connor realized his passion for oral and maxillofacial surgery after reviewing a reconstructive case involving a shotgun wound to the face. The idea of reconstructing lost bone and tissue to bring them back to functional form intrigued him enough to continue his education and specialize in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. While there, he trained as an OMS research fellow one year, resident 3 years, and an additional year as a chief resident.

Inspired to open his own oral surgery practice, Dr. O’Connor moved to Las Vegas in 1990. With more than 29 years of commitment to dental care in Southern Nevada, he adds another credit with the introduction of the future of implant dentistry to Nevada.  

Dr. O’Connor has received numerous accolades in the field of dentistry including (Certificate of Merit from the American Academy of Oral Medicine, Induction into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, invitation into the Pierre Fauchard Academy of Dentistry) He is licensed to practice general dentistry as well as oral and maxillofacial surgery in Nevada, Texas and Oklahoma. In addition, Dr. O’Connor has an anesthesia permit for Nevada.

He is a member of the European Association of Osseointegration, International Team of Implantologists, American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, and American Dental Association. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
