About Connecticut Children's Medical Center

Why Join Our Team

Connecticut Children’s is one of just two freestanding children’s hospitals in New England, and the only one in Connecticut. Established on a legacy that spans more than 100 years, Connecticut Children’s continued growth and award-winning clinical programs are evidence of our world-class medical care, leading academic research and superior education and training.

Our Culture

Connecticut Children’s is a dynamic environment where employees are challenged and rewarded every day. We believe that top quality medical treatment for children is valuable only when accompanied by the compassion for patients, families, peers, and partners in care that our employees exemplify. Connecticut Children’s pursues the highest standards and best outcomes in everything we do, always working with a team mentality to achieve the greatest success.

Connecticut Children’s is one of the Northeast’s leading pediatric medical centers with state-of-the-art facilities such as our Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center, two neonatal intensive care units, and a highly skilled team of board-certified physicians that spans a broad spectrum of medical specialties.

Connecticut Children’s is the primary teaching hospital and research facility for the University of Connecticut School of Medicine department of pediatrics. We are also a proponent of preventive care and community child health and wellness, serving to make not only our visitors healthy, but all children in Connecticut.

We are a not-for-profit organization that puts all of its resources toward supporting our mission to improve the physical and emotional health of all children.

Employee Rewards & Recognition

Connecticut Children’s recognizes all employees with traditional compensation as well as other benefits that contribute to a positive work environment and professional experience. We foster physical, mental, and spiritual well-being through programs that support healthy lifestyles, and organize several events throughout the year to reward our employees including offsite activities, bus trips and peer recognition ceremonies.

Connecticut Children’s many awards for clinical excellence and employee programs reaffirm our commitment to our patients, families and staff. Several of Connecticut Children’s clinical programs have time and again earned national and international honors and accolades.
