The Story of Sofia

Your clinic’s name is inspired by the Greek goddess, Sophia, who symbolizes women’s wisdom and nurturing. Sophia represents the insight of the women we care for and the knowledge that guides our practice.

Clinic History

When Dr. Donna Block founded Clinic Sofia in 2004, she envisioned a nurturing and supportive clinic for women enriched by wisdom, conversation and connection. We know that you are more than a woman; you are a mentor, a mother, a worker, a contributor, a friend. Healthy women form a strong society from the home to the business environment. Clinic Sofia aspires to provide support so that you can take care of yourself and your loved ones.

Clinic Sofia opened a second location in Maple Grove in 2012. Your caregivers work in both locations to accommodate more women who seek care. Clinic Sofia remains a fully independent practice with your unique needs at the center of our focus.
