Central California Faculty Medical Group

The Prestigious University of California San Francisco Fresno Medical Education and Research Program and Central California Faculty Medical Group (CCFMG) are an organization of over 200 full and part-time faculty physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and certified midwives with access to the latest medical advances and teaching techniques.

CCFMGs primary educational facility is Community Regional Medical Center (CRMC). CRMC is one of only 5 medical facilities in California to offer Level One trauma and burn services and is widely recognized for the caliber of its primary care-focused curriculum and training programs. In addition to the hospital-based clinics, there are 14 University Centers of Excellence practice sites in the community. Our physicians enjoy the same experiences and medical challenges found in major metropolitan hospitals, without the traffic jams, noise or hectic pace of urban life. From the area’s newest state-of-the-art medical and educational facilities to our smaller specialty centers, we offer a wide variety of opportunities for physicians.

For over 30 years, CCFMG has not only provided residents in the UCSF Fresno program with a team of highly skilled medical professionals, but also a unique and dynamic learning environment. That tradition continues as CCFMG reaches further into the community and expands facilities, ensuring that medical residents and patients will continue to receive the unsurpassed training and service they have come to expect from CCFMG’s faculty physicians.

The program is located in Fresno, California. Ideally located less than 60 miles from Yosemite, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. Fresno is just a short drive from either Lake Tahoe’s legendary skiing or walks on the beach in sunny southern California. In fact, not only is the cost of living reasonable, the Fresno metropolitan area is also the only city in California predicted by best-selling author and economist, Harry Dent Jr. to be in the sweet spot for growth over the coming years. Situated very near the geographic center of the state, we offer the unique opportunity to live within 1-3 hours of the coast, mountains and the San Francisco and LA metropolitan areas.
