Atlantic Dermatology was found in 1977 by Dr. Thomas Krop, a Maryland native, Harvard-educated dermatologist.

At that time, Atlantic Dermatology was one of only three dermatology clinics in the city. Dr. Krop and his team of dermatologists provided superior skincare to military and civilian families throughout Hampton Roads. They quickly established themselves as trusted partners to referring physicians.

The practice continued to grow in patients as well as board-certified dermatologists and today is one of the premier dermatology clinics serving families and individuals in Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Hampton Roads, the Eastern Shore, and Outer Banks, N.C.
