About Us

Adams Oral Surgery was established in 1985 and has been responsible for providing outstanding oral and maxillofacial surgery ever since. Our specialty is in the area of dentoalveolar and implant surgery.  We offer our patients an atmosphere of caring and comfort, with an emphasis on anesthesia services to optimize their experience. Our business is located in Hanover at 249 Allegheny Avenue and in Gettysburg at 455 South Washington Street.

When contacting our office to schedule your appointment, you will be offered the services of one of our three, board certified oral surgeons.  Dr. James Adams is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University and the University of Maryland School of Denistry.  Dr. Adams became a member of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons in 1983 and established Adams Oral Surgery in 1985.  Dr. Gregory Rongione is a graduate of Loyola College of Baltimore and the University of Maryland School of Denistry.  Dr. Rongione joined the practice in 1999 and became board certified in 2002.  Dr. Carl Tempel graduated from Penn State University, the University of Maryland School of Denistry and completed a five-year residency in the U.S. Army.  During a 12 year Army career, Dr. Tempel became a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.  Dr. Tempel has been with Adams Oral Surgery since 2006. 

The surgeons at Adams Oral Surgery are assisted by a highly trained and experienced team of nurses and administrative personnel.  Each procedure performed in our office is assisted by at least one licensed nurse and all of your scheduling and financial needs are met by an administrative team with a combined experience of over 55 years.
